Antique Paste Stone Heart Pendant c.1900

A romantic antique heart pendant dating to the late Victorian / early Edwardian period, set with a dense cluster of faceted paste stones designed to capture the candlelit brilliance of diamonds. The softly darkened gilt metal reverse and hand-set stones give the piece a rich, time-worn character that only genuine antique jewellery acquires with age. Jewellery of this kind was created as elegant evening wear at the turn of the century — intended to shimmer under low light with warmth and movement.
