Late Victorian / Edwardian 9ct Gold Swivel Fob with Carnelian, Bloodstone & Onyx, c.1880–1910
A beautifully preserved late Victorian to early 20th century swivel fob brooch, set with three richly toned hardstones: deep red carnelian, dark onyx, and green bloodstone.
The piece features a classic rotating mechanism, allowing each stone to be displayed in turn — a functional yet decorative detail typical of the period. The ornate gold mount, with its soft architectural curves and beaded detailing, frames the stones elegantly while retaining a refined, wearable scale.
All three stones are in excellent condition with a high polish and no visible damage. The swivel action is smooth and satisfying, turning cleanly between faces. The metalwork remains crisp, with only light, age-appropriate wear — a piece that has been well cared for.
Originally part of a personal collection, this is a considered and characterful example of Victorian-era design carrying into the early 20th century - will make a stunning pendant or Albert chain fob.
